About Seaside Buffet
Seaside Buffet is a chinese buffet in San Diego, California. It is listed at 8998 Miramar Rd, San Diego, CA 92126, which places it among the local businesses of San Diego that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Google also lists it under seafood restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.
Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 amβ9 pm. It is closed on Tuesday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (858) 566-1888. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, seasidebuffet.com.

We had a great dinner at Seaside Buffet in Mira Mesa! Large selection of food including sushi, crab, shrimp, Chinese food, roast beef, baked shellfish, teppanyaki, fruits, vegetables, ice cream, cookies, sβmore station, and a chocolate fountain. Nice open vibe with attentive servers cleaning up plates and giving refills. It was $33 per adult. Recommend!

2026-June The food was just okay β nothing really stood out, and I wasnβt impressed overall. There were plenty of parking spaces, and the facility itself was clean. I only saw the staff when I first walked in, so service felt minimal. A decent stop if youβre nearby, but the food and experience didnβt quite match the price or expectations. Bon AppΓ©tit π

EDIT: When I wrote my first review I was still sitting in the restaurant. Apparently the business monitors their reviews closely. The waitress approached me specifically and refunded me the entire $140 (my husband paid, not me) and basically said they never want people to have a bad experience in their restaurant. She went on to let me know you're supposed to go add your ingredients for your teppanyaki to plate and walk over to completely deserted cold looking grill and stand there and someone comes out once you're standing at the grill. She also firmly advised me that their chocolate fountain was MILK chocolate. I would still argue that it is not chocolate. Either way chocolate or not the refund shows me that this business really does care about providing an enjoyable dining experience and I can appreciate that but the fact remains that the food just truly misses the mark. I would advise the business to look into different suppliers for their ingredients to start with because that "milk chocolate" tastes like it came from TEMU! I would also say to the business that you guys know where you're cutting corners to save a couple bucks and I promise it is costing you more in the long r

It's got a decent amount of variety. Food quality is okay. Would I come back to this buffet.... probably not. Sushi - mid. Crab legs - mid. The butter for the Crab legs.... did not taste like butter. Chicken (general tso, salt and pepper, spicy chicken) - tough. Chocolate fountain - ππΎ. But there were enough decent dishes that I was still able to get full-ish.

Very nice and helpful staff. They are quick to serve the guests. The food is plentiful. For a buffet the food is very tasty as well. I would definitely like to come back and indulge again. The variety was expansive. They had rows and rows of food with an Asian flair to it. The family had a great time having a meal together. It is an excellent place for the family to gather. I had like two full meals and a full complement of desserts. Even Ole Uncle David enjoyed his meal. Too bad Joe Nastal could not have joined us, he would have enjoyed a meal here as well.
